At the December 10, 2024 meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), JSU’s institutional accrediting body, the agency reaffirmed the university’s accreditation for 10 years with no additional reports required.

Fifth Year Interim Report: March 2030
Decennial Compliance Certification Report:
- Institution Compliance Certification Due: September 2033
- Off Site Committee Review: Fall 2033
- Institution Off Site Report Response and QEP Submission Due: January 2034

- SACSCOC Reaffirmation Decision: December 2034
